Cardinal Pell gives evidence at Australian child abuse inquiry

Vatican treasurer Cardinal George Pell has said the Catholic Church has made "enormous mistakes" in dealing with claims of sexual abuse.

He is giving evidence from Rome via video link to an Australian inquiry into child sex abuse.

The church in Australia had already accepted there have been hundreds of cases of abuse by paedophile priests over more than 80 years.

You should have heard what he said today at the inquiry. The guy is tremendous

Well at least he is exposed and not only here at the places where he caused the pain. Internationally .Even if it isnt much interest to him. 
 scumbag that you are.

The thing is there are hundreds (pos thousands) of people in similar positions with the same attitude, if you take all positions of authority & not just the Church it's probably millions, take the Jimmy Savile case for instance, he was up to no good in the BBC, hospitals, prisons, schools and god only knows where else & everyone covered up for him or was complicit in keeping it secret !

Not that the police would have done anything, they were complicit too !

it really is hard to believe how many there are out there. Then the amount with some sort of power , influence or authority, is frightening .
 
The other thing that gets me is the total lack of empathy towards there victims.

it almost is as if they have a right to justify there actions, and or in this case the  lack of.

Responsibilities fall upon us all . To not act would be crime in its self.

Life is beyond these people . And these people are beyond my ability to understand them.
