Druids protest at having to pay to Pray

Revellers marking this year’s summer solstice at the historic site of Stonehenge in Wiltshire staged a protest on Tuesday morning, denouncing the ‎£15 (€19.46) vehicle entry fee imposed by the English Heritage body.

good on them , a voice being heard .

Kinda crazy, they aren't being charged to pray, they are being charged to park....if you went to any place of "worship" & parked in someones private car park you would have to pay to park there.....



On another note haven't they gone on the wrong day anyway ?

The solstice was on the 20th this year

They have been messing about with the roads for some time, restricting access, Disney has brought the right to Stone henge.

To get anywhere nere you are forced to use the car park.

I passed on the top deck of a coach on the 17 th of June 2016 about 9pm and saw a large group of black hooded people standing in a circul inside stone henge doing some kind of ceremony you have to have special permission to get nere the stones, except for the solstice.


I remember the day you could go along a side road pull up and park cut a cross the field and have a look round touch the stones, no more.
